Unveiling Monuments or Plaques

Another NO-NO is when commemorative proceedings take place and a monument or plaque is to be unveiled. Certainly the national flag should never be used as the cover of the item being unveiled. The Australian flag should be on a pole to the left of the item and a plain curtain or cover used. If no pole is available, it may be displayed on the wall or behind the item being revealed.
