From all of us at Pennant House, we want to send a very special thank you to all our Firefighters during this very difficult summer.
It's been one of Australia's darkest summers with bushfires destroying our East coast. This is not an unfamiliar situation in Australia so once again the familiar heroes join forces to fight the blazers. Firies from all over the Australia and the world have rallied together, showing that even in the darkest times people are capable of amazing things.
This photo was sent to us by the Newman Fire Station last week saying thank you for the WA flag, but really we should be thanking them!
The Newman Firies were part of WA Strike Team Quebec and had just finished fighting the fires in Jingellic, NSW. So we would like to take this opportunity to thank the Newman Fire Station, the WA Strike Team and all the other Fries from around world battling the blazers! The lives that have been saved because of their heroic acts are too many to count.
Despite the amazing job our firefights do there are still many communities that have been devastated and are in desperate need of support. We have included a link that will take you to a list of fire relief funds if you wish to donate.
